People are at the heart of everything we do

Aimee Penman

Lawyer

Aimee grew up in Wellington and graduated from Victoria University at the end of 2021. Aimee completed her PROFs while working for MBIE’s Employment Mediation Service in a Case Management role and was admitted to the Bar on 9th December 2022. Motivated by her passion for a legal career in family law and after an escape from the notorious winds of Wellington, Aimee moved to the North Shore to join the Schnauer & Co (SCO) team in February 2023.

Aimee is part of the Schnauer & Co Family Law team, which deals with a broad variety of family law matters including parenting/care of children, relationship property and family violence. Aimee also advises and represent clients on employment-law related issues. Aimee brings to the role her love for people and enjoys connecting with clients as they navigate some of the trickiest times they will face in their lives. Aimee believes that any dispute should be approached pragmatically and with an open mind. Aimee is continuing to grow her experience representing clients at mediation and appearing in the Family Court.

Aimee loves being active and getting outdoors, particularly for an early morning walk along the beach before she starts work. Alongside her appreciation for a strong coffee and a good book, Aimee always ensures she spends quality time on the weekends with her family and friends.
