Ali became a Director at Schnauer & Co in 2023 and leads the Property and Commercial team at Schnauer & Co.
Ali began her career as a general practice lawyer before focusing on property and commercial transactions while working at two highly-regarded national firms. Ali also lived in Bermuda for nearly five years and gained valuable international experience before returning to New Zealand in 2012.
Ali approaches legal issues with a pragmatic mindset, striving to secure the most suitable business-oriented resolutions for her clients. Her passion for aiding others shines through, and collaborating with her clients to attain their objectives brings her a genuine feeling of accomplishment.
Ali acts for clients in all aspects of property law including residential and commercial property sales, purchases, leases, retirement village occupation rights and a wide range of commercial arrangements. Ali has a special interest in business law, with a particular focus on SME sales and acquisitions.
Outside of the office, Ali is a passionate supporter of her children’s sporting pursuits and dreams of one day having an All Black, a professional footballer and a golfer in the family.
